Team Pelagic Extreme dominated over the second biggest field in Vic Bream Classic fishing competition history to take home the championship on the weekend of May 2nd and 3rd. For a relatively new Team Pelagic Extreme, Wayne Sleep and Gary Tebb from Port Campbell, it was to be a weekend they will never forget as they managed to lead an impressive field of some highly decorated anglers for the entire weekend to take victory and really make a name for Pelagic Extreme fishing gear and fishing tackle.

With less than 300 grams separating the top ten after Day 1 of the fishing competition, the boys knew if they didn't bag another load of quality bream they would find themselves losing the lead. The boys fished slow and deep over the fish using a combination of Pelagic Custom fishing rods and fishing tackle.

At the final weigh in, the boys clocked up a total weight of 10/10 bream for 6.12kg making them the 2009 Eco-Gear Glenelg Shire Bream Classic fishing competition Champions.
